Microraptor is the first dinosaur to be discovered with wings and feathers, debate about Velociraptor having feathers was going on at the time, but this confirmed some dinosaurs do have feathers. (Velociraptor has also been confirmed to have feathers) It is a unique glider of which had four feathered wings, discovered in China, now the heart of new feathered dinosaur discoveries. It would probably swoop down after its prey, mainly small insects such as crickets, and then hop onto a nearby tree, as they lived in forests.

Preserved pigments show that Microraptor may have had black, iridescent feathers. The eye bones of Microraptor also show that it was actually a night hunter. It's iridescent feathers would help it camouflage at dusk, so it could easily hunt prey, such as other early birds.
