Abelisaurids are a group of Theropod dinosaurs that dominated in the southern Continents (Africa, Madagascar, South America etc.) during the Late Cretaceous period. 3 species of Abelisaurs appeared in Planet Dinosaur, Rugops, Majungasaurus and Skorpiovenator. However, Rugops and Skorpiovenator play the role of background Animals, while Majungasaurus, along with the Tyrannosaur, Daspletosaurus was the main dinosaur in the Episode "Last Killers".
